Submission Rules
1. All submissions must be accompanied by a complete disclaimer and copyright notice. If a suitable disclaimer is not included, then you agree to the disclaimer on this website's page footer (an example is provided below). Site administrators reserve the right to add a disclaimer or to remove repeat offenders including removal of account. ------------------------------------------------------------ Sample Poem Disclaimer Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners. The original characters and plot are the property of the author. The author is in no way associated with the owners, creators, or producers of any media franchise. No copyright infringement is intended. ------------------------------------------------------------ Sample Poem Disclaimer Disclaimer: The original characters and plot of this poem are the property of the author. No infringement of pre-existing copyright is intended. This poem is copyright (c) 20?? Author Name. All rights reserved. ------------------------------------------------------------ 2. Poems must be submitted to the proper category. If there is an appropriate sub-category, DO NOT add your poem to the main category. The submission form allows you to choose multiple categories for your poem, and we worked very hard to add that functionality for you. So please do NOT add your poem multiple times! 3. Titles and summaries must be kid friendly. No exceptions. "Please read", "Untitled", etc. are not acceptable titles or summaries. 4. Correct grammar and spelling are expected of all poems submitted to this site. The site administrators are not grammar tyrants insofar as modern poetics bends the rules. However, the site administrators reserve the right to request corrections in submissions with a multitude of obvious grammar and/or spelling errors. If such a request is ignored, the poem may be deleted. 4. All poems must be rated correctly and have the appropriate warnings. All adult rated (18) poems are expected to have warnings. After all, they wouldn't have that rating if there wasn't something to be warned about! The site administrators recognize that there is an audience for these poems, but please respect those who do not wish to read them by labeling them appropriately. Please note: Poems containing adults having sex with minors are strictly forbidden. 5. Poems with multiple chapters should be archived as such and NEVER as separate poems. Upload the first chapter of your poem, then go to Manage Poems in your account to add additional chapters. If you have trouble with this, please contact the site administrator or ask a friend to help you. 6. Plagiarism: We do NOT allow any form of plagiarism. If you are quoting from a known source then you MUST credit the proper person/s. Quotes should be no more than 3-5 lines. Any material submitted that is deemed to be plagiarized, will be deleted from the archive and you will be banned. Check your work first before submitting it. 7. Reviews: Although it is not a requirement, every Author would love it if you reviewed for them. However, there are some rules that MUST be adhered to: 7.1 No Flames - If you really hated the poem for whatever reason, just keep moving. Do NOT tell an Author that you hated a subject matter, as the warnings and characters are listed in the poem summaries as well as a brief summary of what the poem is about. If you ignore this and read the poem anyway, it is your own fault, not the Author's. 7.2 ALL reviews must be rated and must be a proper review. No chatting or asking unrelated questions in the review section. 7.3 While CC Reviewing (Constructive Criticism) is welcomed, please make sure that you also compliment the Author too. If you are finding more negative things to say, move on and don't review. There are some people who write for fun and don't take it all very seriously, so if their poem isn't as great as you thought it could be or should be, do they really need to know that? Use your own discretion and common sense. 7.4 Do NOT threaten for Reviews, that is plain rude. Examples of this is: "Review or I won't update" or "I'm not going to review for you if you don't for me!" While we all love feedback, it is up to every individual if they wish to leave a review or not. Any of this behaviour will lead to rejection deletion of a poem. 7.5 Do NOT review yourself or chat with your readers via the review system. Also, please remember to NOT give out personal information. This includes email addresses and links to other sites. 8. Collaboration Accounts or Other Site Accounts - The host or owner of the account must make sure all poems posted comply to the TOS of this site. Any story found or deemed in violation of the TOS and Site Rules, will result in that poem deletion without notice and the account faces suspension or banning, depending on the severity of the breech. Please make sure there is a limit as to who knows the password to the account. We will not be responsible for material submitted without your approval and we reserve the right to remove any suspected malicious postings. 9. Submissions found to be in violation of these rules may be removed and the author's account suspended at the discretion of the site administrators and/or moderators. The site administrators reserve the right to modify these rules as needed.
